Built on a Mauser 98' action, 22 .5" part octagonal/part round Bohler Stahl brl, full length raised matted rib, leaf rearsight, mint bore, claw bases, double set triggers, spoon bolt handle, shotgun type triggerguard, fully engraved in game scene, scroll & acorn leaves, half stocked in the traditional style with cheekpiece, schnable forend & hogs back comb, chequred capped pistolgrip grip & forend, horn heelplate, sling swivels. Fully restored to a high standard in our workshops, small repair to toe of stock, proofed in March 1939, was brought to the UK as war booty in 1945, superb quality.

Restocked by us in figured French walnut, forend chequred in a wraparound pattern, 14.5” pull, oil finished, a new 1" Silvers brown recoil pad & sling studs are fitted. A very unusual & high quality rifle.

Dated 1915, a very good example in “issue” spec, no cut-off fitted. Absolutely mint bore & chamber, excellent repolished walnut woodwork, very good blueing, correct sling swivels, orig. windage adjustable rearsight, etc. All matching numbers, shoots well. Has not been “got at”.
